MEET CARMEN SCHOTT, MSW, LCSW, LISW, CAATS

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered, grounded in practical tools that support real-life change. I work alongside you to better understand patterns contributing to adjustment challenges.

Together, we identify strengths, clarify goals, and develop coping strategies that improve emotional regulation, communication, and resilience. With experience supporting military families and individuals facing high-stress environments, I understand the impact of chronic stress, deployment transitions, and life disruptions. Therapy with me is structured yet flexible, always tailored to your unique experiences and needs.

I am dedicated to helping individuals move toward greater emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a steady, compassionate presence while helping you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and restore a sense of balance and direction.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist and Certified Alcohol Abuse Treatment Therapist. I hold my Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I am licensed in Illinois, Ohio, South Dakota, and Virginia. I bring over 30 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, survivors of trauma, first responders, military members, veterans, and their families, as well as teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship conflict, and major life transitions.
